Archaeological Monitoring and Survey Services

North Carolina Emergency Management is seeking bids for a qualified Secretary of the Interior (SOI) qualified archaeologist to conduct mandatory monitoring of ground-disturbing activities for the North Carolina Hazard Mitigation project, ensuring full compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. The contracted specialist will manage regulatory communication, execute stop-work protocols to protect unexpected cultural or burial discoveries, and deliver state-compliant archaeological reports required for final project closeout. This Agency Specific Contract is to provide Archaeological Monitoring and Surveying on an “as needed” basis if and when ordered by the North Carolina Division of Emergency Management (NCEM). The State does not guarantee any minimum or maximum quantity of Services. The State will only be responsible for services requested and received.
