Vendor needs to provide assistant attorney service to the government authority located in New Brunswick, NJ. • Advise the council as to the form and sufficiency of all ordinances and resolutions prior to their passage;• Prepare or review and approve all contracts, deeds, documents, and instruments prior to the execution thereof by or on behalf of the agency;• Conduct appeals from orders, decisions or judgment affecting any interest of the agency as approved or directed by the mayor or council;• Render opinions in writing upon any question of law submitted to him or her by the mayor or council, or on any subject when he or she deems it in the interest of the agency;• Maintain a record of all actions, suits, proceedings and matters which relate to the agency’s interest and report thereon from time to time as the mayor or council may require;• Attend regular and special meetings of the city council and meetings of such board and commissions as required;• Perform such other and different duties as may be provided by charter or ordinance.
