(1) Vendor needs to provide fully integrated multiplex PCR platform. • Fully integrated multiplex PCR platforms that are permitted for research as point–of–use platforms which also have functionality in public health laboratories for rapid syndromic testing of infectious diseases.• Preferred platform would be able to run at least four samples simultaneously and would have a single kit or a variety of kits which can test for 40 or more targets, including at least 20 bacterial, five yeast, and 10 antibiotic resistance genes from blood culture within 1 hour.• Platforms sought would have developed kits with documented use in the scientific literature.• Platforms sought would have kits or mechanisms that have automated a number of PCR–related processes to enable researchers or medical laboratory scientists to reduce sample processing time.• Ability to get scientifically defensible molecular–based microbial identifications and determinations related to the presence or absence of several health–relevant antimicrobial resistance genes
