(1) Vendor needs to provide on–demand gear grant and research program services to the government authority located in New Bedford, MA.– Use of on–demand gear provides an opportunity for those fishermen to access those closed areas with gear that does not introduce persistent buoy lines in the water column.– Provide commercial trap fishermen impacted by seasonal closures with the opportunity to access those areas that are closed to persistent buoy lines using on–demand gear where the lines are stowed on the sea floor, eliminating the risk of entanglement.(3) The contract period will be for two years.
