Vendor needs to provide operating room and recovery nursing services to the government authority located in Shiprock, NM. – Provide Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room/Recovery (OR/PACU) nursing services.– Day Surgery Unit/Pre–Operative Area• Perform patient admission, identification verification, and pre–procedure preparation (including consent verification, allergy review, NPO verification, and medication reconciliation). • Conduct and document pre–operative nursing assessment, including baseline vitals, focused systems assessment, and review of pertinent history and labs/testing as applicable.• Initiate and manage IV therapy as ordered; administer pre–op medications per provider order and facility policy; provide patient/family education related to procedure and recovery.• Coordinate with anesthesia, surgical team, and ancillary services for patient readiness and safe transport to procedure areas.– Operating Room (OR)• Provide perioperative nursing support for scheduled and add–on cases, including circulating duties as assigned and within scope/competency. • Maintain sterile field integrity and support infection prevention practices; ensure correct–site/side/procedure verification and compliance with time–out requirements per facility policy.• Assist with intraoperative documentation, counts, specimen handling, and coordination of supplies/equipment per procedure needs.• Provide perioperative support for the service case mix, including endoscopy, dental, general surgery, OB/GYN, minor oral/facial, and podiatry; pediatric patients may be present primarily for general or dental procedures.– Post Anesthesia Unit–Recovery• Receive handoff from anesthesia/surgical team and perform immediate post–anesthesia assessment, monitoring, and documentation per PACU standards and facility policy. • Manage airway/oxygen therapy, pain control, nausea/vomiting, thermoregulation, hemodynamic monitoring, IV therapy/fluids, and post–op complications per orders and protocols. • Perform discharge readiness evaluation and discharge education for day surgery patients; coordinate transfers/admissions when required.– Endoscopy Room• Provide pre–, intra–, and post–procedure nursing support for endoscopic procedures, including patient assessment, monitoring, documentation, specimen handling, and recovery coordination per policy.
