Old Plank Road at Chicken Branch Culvert Replacement Project

Leon County is seeking the services of a qualified vendor to perform culvert replacement on Old Plank Road at Chicken Branch in accordance with the Technical Specifications, the "Bid Set" Contract Plans (Attachment E), the Supplemental Specifications (Attachment F), and other solicitation documents contained within this solicitation. The scope of work to be performed includes demolition and removal of existing stormwater cross drains (10-38”x 60” elliptical CMP) and construction of concrete box culverts, concrete headwalls, temporary sheet pile walls, guardrails and all associated works called out on the construction plans (Attachment E) and in the bid documents. The project is located within Section 25, Township 1 South, Range 2 East, in Leon County, Florida and approximately 3.3 miles south of Tram Road (CR 259) intersection. This project is anticipated to take 270 calendar days to perform. The complete construction documents include a series of attachments which are listed in the technical specifications of the contract documents. Prime Contractor or Sub contractor shall possess current and valid FDOT pre-qualifications in the Drainage, flexible paving, and guardrail work class. The pre-qualifications shall be current and valid at the time of the bid submittal. Any Prime Contractor who submits a bid with the intent to use a Sub-Contractor who possesses the work class pre-qualifications MUST identify the Sub-Contractor and submit the Sub-Contractors current and valid FDOT pre-qualifications by the Proposal Submission Deadline to be considered responsive to this bid solicitation. All prices MUST be submitted for the items in the Bid Price Sheet (Attachment L). Failure to provide complete pricing will result in the bid being deemed non-responsive. A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 11:00am at the Leon County Purchasing Division conference room located at 1800-3 Blair Stone Road, Tallahassee, FL 32308. Immediately following the pre-bid meeting, there will be a mandatory site visit. Attendance at both the pre-bid and the site visit are mandatory to be eligible for bid award.
