This is a passthrough of remaining allocated funds from OMPW when the office was under UMMC. Funds were transferred from UMMC to MSDH under SB2049 for this purpose. The Mississippi Physician Workforce Advisory Board has determined that there is a strategic need for the development and support of GME training in obstetric and maternal health in Meridian, MS. This funding opportunity is to support obstetrics and maternal health training for current ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education)-accredited family medicine programs, as well as the development of related fellowships in Meridian, MS.
