Audit Services RFP

The Town of Mooresville, North Carolina invites qualified independent auditors having sufficient governmental accounting and auditing experience in performing an audit in accordance with the specifications outlined in this Request for Proposal (RFP) to submit a proposal to provide audit services. Please reference the attached RFP for specific details regarding the specifications, terms, and conditions that shall govern any resulting contract. Potential respondents should email cquinn@mooresvillenc.gov to acknowledge receipt of the RFP and to inform the Town of its intent to respond. Provide the name, title, address, telephone, and email address of the individual who can address inquiries related to this RFP and the respondent’s proposal. Each respondent that has notified the Town of its intent to respond will be emailed bid notifications, addenda, and updates. The Town will follow the schedule below for awarding an audit contract: RFP Release Date: December 5, 2023 Deadline for RFP Questions*: January 5, 2024 by 5:00 pm Questions to be Answered No Later Than: January 12, 2024 by 5:00 pm Deadline for Receipt of Proposals: January 24, 2024 by 3:00 pm Notice of Recommended Firm: February 7, 2024 Board of Commissioners’ Approval: February 19, 2024 *Any questions should be directed to Christopher Quinn, Chief Financial Officer via email at cquinn@mooresvillenc.gov . Appointments may be scheduled to further discuss any specific matters necessary in preparing your proposal. Bidders may not have communications, verbal or otherwise, concerning this RFP with any Town personnel or elected officials, other than the person listed above. Bidders will be required to comply with all applicable statutes and regulations. Bids must be submitted via the Town's eProcurement Portal at: https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/mooresvillenc . It is the responsibility of each bidder to ensure that their bid is received on time. Failure to register and follow the project will preclude your firm from being able to submit a response. Failure to acknowledge addenda issued will be sufficient grounds for rejection of the bid by the Town. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids submitted, or to select the bid or any part of the bid which, in our opinion, is in the best overall interest of the Town.
