Pre-Qualification of Bidders for Fire Station #4 Construction Project

Notice of Pre-Qualification. The City of Palo Alto (“City”) requires that all bidders for its Fire Station #4 Construction Project (“Project”) be pre-qualified by the City as set forth herein . This pre- qualification requirement applies only to bids submitted to perform the work as prime contractor. Subcontractors are not required to pre-qualify for the Project. The Project involves demolition of existing fire station buildings, integration of the existing fuel station on site, and creating a new fire station building. The tentative bid due date for the Project is Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. (PST). Pre-Qualification Deadline. To apply for pre-qualification, each contractor must fully complete and execute the City’s Pre-Qualification Questionnaire, which must be submitted to the City along with all required attachments no later than Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. (PST) (“ Pre-Qualification Deadline ”). Late submittals will not be considered. Streamlined Pre-Qualification. The City’s pre-qualification process has been streamlined to encourage bidder participation. The City’s Pre-Qualification Questionnaire is a shortened, modified version of the Model Forms prepared by the Department of Industrial Relations (“ DIR ”), and does not require submission of a financial statement.
