Description
This Package includes all Curtainwall / Metal Panel work; for the construction of the Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center. The new structure will be a five story building plus penthouse, totaling approximately 150,000sf. The ground floor, partially below grade, is a cast in place concrete structure with the upper four floors and the penthouse steel construction. The building will comply with the University’s sustainability program, including LEED certification. This package will also include all Curtainwall / Metal Panel work for the construction of the Hospital Bed Expansion. The Hospital Bed Expansion consists of a 34 foot expansion of the north façade of the central tower from the second floor through the eighth floor and the mechanical penthouse. This expansion will add approximately 40,000gsf of clinical space, 20,000gsf of mechanical space and will require the renovation of approximately 60,000gsf of clinical space. The project will create a 12 bed nursing unit on each of the floors 3 through 8.
