The County of Solano, Department of Probation, hereinafter referred to as the “County,” intends to secure a contract with a qualified youth-serving organization to provide evidence-based programs that support Prevention, Intervention and Crime Reduction that will collectively impact the well-being of justice involved youth and contribute towards a reduction in recidivism and positive youth development. The County will competitively award available funding to youth-serving organizations to implement Evidence-Based Programs or Practices (EBP) that achieve measurable positive outcomes impacting the well-being of justice involved youth and that contribute to a reduction in recidivism. Proposers are encouraged to partner with other community-based organizations to support innovative and culturally relevant program delivery and the engagement of credible messengers. This RFP solicits proposals that focus on positive youth development practices and help address the assessed Risk, Needs, and Responsivity of youth under probation supervision.
