Citywide Landscaping

The City of Santa Monica, (City) is soliciting bids from qualified bidders to provide landscape maintenance services citywide. The successful bidder shall provide all supervision, equipment, labor, and materials necessary for performing landscape maintenance and irrigation services. The Public Landscape Division oversees landscape maintenance at open spaces citywide including weed abatement, hardscape cleaning, irrigation inspections, trash removal at parks, turf aerification, fertilization and mowing. The Division is seeking a contractor to service approximately 110 acres of landscaping across 128 different park, facility, and street median sites throughout the city. Depending on the required tasks, the awarded vendor would perform routine work at different frequencies, such as daily, weekly, or monthly, and one-time projects at the request of various departments. One-time projects include installation of turf or plants, planter and turf renovations, palm frond removal after inclement weather, and weed abatement. The City is interested in a firm fixed contract for an initial term of a three (3) years, with two (2) one-year renewal options for a total contract of five (5) years. The successful bidder shall provide and administer specialized services as specifically described in this bid, maintain continuing cooperation with Public Landscape personnel throughout.
