On-Call Pump & Motor Repairs
sugarlandtx / Public Works - Utility Administration
Description
In December 2017, the City annexed Greatwood and New Territory, which increased its pump inventory by over a third. The City now owns and maintains approximately 280 submersible sewage pumps ranging from 2 - 115 horsepower and from 110-volt single phase to 480 volt three phase. At the City's Groundwater and Surface Water Treatment Facilities there are an additional 11 submersible pumps ranging from 10 - 115 horsepower at 460 volt three phase, and 40 centrifugal pumps ranging from 15 - 200 horsepower at 460 volt three phase. Refer to the attached inventory list for additional pump information. The Public Works Department requires a repair contract(s) to be in place for the continued repair of the complete inventory on an as-needed basis. We anticipate that any given year the City will need to repair approximately 10% of its inventory. The attached inventory list is for bidding purposes, and bid evaluation and is not meant to be exclusive. Throughout the course of the contract period, pumps may be added or deleted depending on various circumstances. Pricing for any pump repairs outside of the attached pump list will be done by closest comparison and mutually agreed upon.
