Description

The Correctional Service Canada requires the services of a qualified contractor to complete HVAC Removal and Replacement of two Furnaces and 2 Air Conditioning units in building WA01. Objectives: The qualified contract must: a.remove the existing two (2) gas fired furnaces; b.remove the existing two (2) air conditioning units; i.Dismantle, remove and dispose of the one (1) water-cooled air conditioner in the mechanical room, c.supply and install two (2) two new gas fired furnaces, and d.supply and install two (2) new air conditioning units. Deliverables: 1.Decommission and remove existing two (2) furnaces, two (2) air conditioning units, the old flue and chimney. a.The Contractor must remove and dispose of existing fresh air intake and exhaust. b.The existing flue and chimney must be decommissioned and capped by the Contractor. i.The flue side outlet will need a reducer to complete decommissioning and capping. ii. The chimney must be dismantled to the roof level and capped with a doghouse or other suitable cover. 2.Supply, install, program, commission, and verify the two (2) new furnaces and two (2) new air conditioning units to ensure full functional operation: a.Existing furnaces are currently running at 80% efficiency: •One (1) Model- “Eng Air XE 225 HB MA E S/S C” natural gas furnace, has an hourly BTU O/P of 180,000 at an elevation up to 2000ft. or 162,000 at an elevation up to 4500ft. AND •One (1) Model - “X3 160 HBMAE natural gas furnace, has an hourly BTU O/P of 128,000 at an elevation up to 2000ft. or 115,200 at an elevation up to 4500ft. Existing air conditioners are: •One (1) unit Engineered Air Model– “XE-225/C the condensing unit is Engineered Air Model CUEA61 Tagged ( CU-1 )” AND •One (1) unit – “XE-160/C the condensing unit is Engineered Air Model CUA51 Tagged (CU-2)" Existing air conditioner(s) specifications: •Location: WA01 (Finance building) Manufacture: Engineered Air, Model: CUEA61-0, Serial#: M12612 CU-1, Type: R22, Halocarbon Capacity: 8.62 Kg, Cooling Capacity: 6.1 Tons AND •Location: WA01 (Finance building) Manufacture: Engineered Air, Model: CUA-51-0, Serial#: M12612-CU-2, Type: R22, Halocarbon Capacity: 7.25 Kg, Cooling Capacity: 5.0 Tons
