The City is seeking proposals from qualified auditing firms specializing in Pennsylvania workers' compensation claims audits to provide an audit of the City's indemnity payments issued by its Third-Party Administrator (TPA). With the audit, the City aims to ensure that payments were issued in compliance with City requirements, Civil Service Regulation 32, the Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Act, and the Pennsylvania Heart and Lung Act. It is anticipated that a sampling of both open and closed claim files will be reviewed. The final assessment should apprise the City of the appropriateness of the TPA's payment processes and internal controls, identify overpayments, if any, and provide the amount of overpayments and percentage of overpayments found for each fiscal year audited.
