The Margate City Board of Education is seeking competitive proposals for an annual basic Maintenance and Operations (M&O) contract to support the district's existing, owner-owned fiber optic Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure. The specific scope of work covers a single, district-owned 12-strand single-mode fiber optic cable path connecting William H. Ross III Intermediate School to Eugene A. Tighe Middle School. The total physical span is approximately 0.2 miles (approx. 1,050 linear feet) running between the designated IT termination spaces at both facilities. The selected vendor will be responsible for ensuring continuous link integrity and must provide: a complete annual route ride-out with detailed quality control engineering reports; 24x7x365 emergency on-call technical assessment and repair response with a maximum next business day response window; and continuous communication updates during any network restoration events. All labor rates must strictly comply with New Jersey Mandated Prevailing Wage Rates where applicable. The initial contract term will run from year beginning July 1, 2027.
