(1) Vendor needs to provide respiratory therapy services to the government authority located in Paterson, NJ.• The Provider must provide a licensed Respiratory Therapist 24 hr/day, 7 days/week for the Special Care Nursing Facility Ventilator Unit.• Therapy Services Excluding Ventilator Dependent Services– 11 beds are licensed for ventilator care.– Up to 9 residents may be admitted for tracheostomy care in the respiratory unit.• Nurses provide basic respiratory care: Oxygen Therapy, Suction, Tracheotomy Care, Incentive Spirometry, Metered Dose Inhalers, Pulse Oximetry.• provide training programs for nursing staff to include necessary competencies for Basic Respiratory Care.• Documentation: Preakness maintains responsibility for the Medical Record.• All assessments, treatment plans, progress notes and outcomes will be documented in the electronic medical record. Include a sample of Respiratory Assessment and Treatment Form for General Respiratory services and any other documentation forms that are utilized.
