RFQ #PUARC-1772 - MISCELLANEOUS FOOD ITEMS

The County of Riverside Purchasing department on behalf of primarily the Sheriff-Corrections, Riverside University Health Systems (RUHS), and Probation department is soliciting quotations to establish contracts with primary and secondary vendors for food products as detailed in this RFQ. The resulting contracts will allow the various county agencies to order directly from the most responsible, responsive bidder(s) who can provide the best value to the County. Riverside County spans roughly 7,303 square miles and serves a population of about 2.54 million residents, making it one of the largest and most populous counties in California. The County operates numerous institutional facilities including correctional facilities, juvenile detention centers, the RUHS Medical Center, and soon to be various wellness and recovery villages. These facilities rely on consistent food delivery to support their internal kitchens. These kitchens prepare daily meals for individuals in secure care, medical treatment, and other County-run programs, creating a continuous need for dependable food distribution across a wide geographic area. Bidders will be required to assist the county agencies with ordering methods, procedures, follow-up, dairy product information, etc. at group and/or individual sessions as required at no additional cost to the County or the ordering Department. All questions submitted are within the correct RFQ located on PublicPurchase.com. Must be submitted by: 11/17/2026 Time: 1:30 PM Pacific Time 4. DEADLINE FOR QUOTATION SUBMITTAL Bid results are posted on PublicPurchase.com 12/01/2026 at 1:30 PM Pacific Time 5. TENTATIVE DATE FOR AWARDING CONTRACT 30-90 days, contingent upon lowest bidder meeting all of the bid specifications. The County reserves the right of award in regard to any other factors the County determines to be appropriate. Please note that award(s) resulting from this solicitation will be made on a category-by-category basis to the bidder(s) whose bid is determined to provide the best overall value to the County. Multiple awards may be made, and individual categories may be awarded to different bidders, as determined to be in the County's best interest.
