Meadowbrook Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Improvements Project

The Selected Contractor shall perform the Work complete and in place for construction of new high service pumps, two (2) new ground storage tanks, yard and mechanical piping improvements, new instrumentation and controls, and new electrical systems as required for the improvements to the Meadowbrook WTP as described in the Solicitation Documents. 1. Mobilization/Demobilization, General Requirements, Bonds and Insurance. 2. Contractor is responsible for protecting existing materials, structures, and equipment on-site during construction activities. 3. Site Work • Site Preparation. • Erosion Control. • Salvage: Prior to demolition of equipment or facilities, the Contractor shall coordinate with the Owner on any Owner designated equipment identified to be salvaged. Contractor shall move the identified equipment and/or materials to the warehouse on-site storage area protection from the elements. Salvage equipment includes, but is not limited to (the Owner reserves the right to salvage existing equipment not identified on this list): o Existing High Service Pumps. o Hydro-pneumatic Tanks. • Demolition. • Site grading. • Site restoration including seeding, grassing, and other restoration. Contractor agrees to restore as necessary, any systems that might be impacted during construction. • Proper disposal of excess and unsuitable excavation and removal. 4. Replacement of the existing high service pumps with five new high service pumps. 5. Two new prestressed concrete ground storage tanks. 6. Yard and mechanical piping improvements. 7. New magnetic flow meter assembly. 8. New asphalt driveway. 9. Improvements to the electrical and instrumentation and controls systems. 10. Electrical, Instrumentation and Control work shall be constructed in accordance with CCUA Water Treatment Plant Standards, drawings, and specifications to provide a functional and integrated electrical system. 11. Conducting all necessary testing and start-up. 12. All other Work shown in the Contract Drawings and Specifications. A detailed summary of Work is provided in the technical specifications. CONTRACTOR is responsible for protecting existing materials, structures, and equipment on-site during construction activities. All materials, methods of construction, and standards must be in accordance with the AUTHORITY’s approved material manual, specifications, and details.
