Wastewater Treatment Facility Digester 1 Cleaning

The work to be done consists in general of the full-service removal and disposal of all liquids and solids from Digester #1 at the Santa Cruz Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF), wash down of the interior, and transportation and disposal of fluid and solids. All work on the interior of the digester shall be performed using only the existing access openings. All interior surfaces shall be washed clean, and the tank pumped dry. In addition, the work to be done consists in general of the full-service removal and disposal of all grit from the south grit tank of the Preaeration Grit Removal Structure at the Santa Cruz WWTF, hydro-wash down of the interior, and the transportation and disposal of grit from the south grit tank. All work on the interior of the south grit tank shall be done through designated access points as specified by WWTF staff before the cleaning.
