Description
The Lawrence Affordable Housing Trust Fund is supported through a local sales tax with the purpose of providing and improving the quality, availability, and affordability of housing in Lawrence, acquiring land for future affordable housing, and investing in private/public partnerships for the provision of affordable housing. The City of Lawrence Affordable Housing Advisory Board (AHAB), is currently accepting applications for the City’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund. The mission of the Affordable Housing Advisory Board (AHAB) is to recommend to the City Commission ways everyone in Lawrence has access to safe, quality, affordable housing and supportive services necessary to maintain independent living with dignity. The City of Lawrence anticipates awarding up to $1.2 million in Affordable Housing Trust Funds in 2026.
