Vendor needs to provide professional certified public accounting services to support the city accounting for fiscal years 2027 and 2028 to the government authority located in Arkansas.1. Audit and financial reporting:– Prepare, or assist city staff in preparing, financial statements, footnotes, and required supplementary information.– Present audit results to the city council at a public meeting each year.2. Accounting and bookkeeping support:– Review and assist with the maintenance of the city's general ledger, chart of accounts, and fund accounting structure.– Perform periodic review of bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month–end closing procedures.– Provide guidance on the proper classification and recording of revenues, expenditures, transfers, and capital assets.3. Budget and financial planning:– Prepare financial analyses, revenue and expenditure projections, and cash flow forecasts as requested.– Provide periodic financial reports and presentations to the city council on the city's financial condition.4. Payroll and tax compliance:– Advise on and assist with payroll tax compliance, including federal and withholding, quarterly and annual payroll tax filings, and W–2 and 1099 reporting.– Provide guidance on employee versus independent contractor classification and other payroll–related compliance matters.
