Annual Services For Fiber Optic Cable Construction, Maintenance and Emergency Repairs

The City of Lakeland is looking to obtain the services of a qualified and experienced telecommunications construction contractor, under a non-exclusive unit price contract, for all phases of design and construction of both aerial and underground fiber optic cable for the city's fiber optic network. The successful contractor(s) shall provide outside plant related construction and splicing activities in support of maintaining the existing network as well as installing and/or constructing new outside plant network. The existing cable infrastructure is estimated to be 85% aerial and 15% underground. The city exclusively uses "all dielectric self-supporting" (ADSS) fiber cable for their backbone routes.
