Pre-Purchase of a 0.8% On-Site Sodium Hypochlorite Generation System for the Leslie O. Carter Treatment Plant

The Palmdale Water District is accepting proposals from qualified vendors for the pre-purchase, finalize system connections, start-up and testing of an on-site sodium hypochlorite generation system at the Leslie O. Carter Treatment Plant. The Leslie O. Carter Treatment Plant is a 35 million gallon per day (MGD) conventional drinking water facility serving the people of Palmdale, California. Disinfection is achieved by using 0.8% sodium hypochlorite solution where sodium hypochlorite is fed at headworks, settled (pre-filtration), and effluent locations. The complete on-site sodium hypochlorite generation system shall meet a maximum flow of 35 MGD at 5 ppm (1500 pounds per day) with single cell out of service. See #Scope of Work for more information.
