TRANSLATION-8238 - USA (New Jersey) - Sign Language Interpreter Services - Deadline July 22,2026

(1) Vendor needs to provide sign language interpreter services. – Provide interpreting and transliterating services on an as–needed basis.– Learning access program has been contracting with sign language interpreters for years. average one or two students each academic year that are in need of interpreting services.– Interpreting is generally performed by a two–person team for assignments over one hour in duration, subject to medication at the University’s discretion.– For courses, each Interpreter will sign for approx. 20 minutes each, but the contractor may be expected to interpret and transliterate independently for some assignments.–  Most hours are assigned during the academic school year (September through December and January through May) with a historical average of 20 to 30 hours of academic interpreting and transliteration per week, depending upon student enrollment.– Payment will be on a per hour basis with a two–hour minimum. Classes booked with a minimum of a one–hour break will be paid as two separate assignments.– Need for these services is based on student enrollment for any given academic term. This need is variable and often uncertain from semester to semester.– On–going or continued employment is contingent upon the needs of deaf and hard of hearing constituents on campus, and satisfactory performance as determined through student, peer, and program evaluations.(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than July 01, 2026.(3) The contract period will be for one year.
