Home Energy Ambassadors Program

The Dane County Office of Energy & Climate Change is soliciting applications from non-profit or fiscally-sponsored organizations to create and execute outreach within underserved areas of Dane County to assist homeowners and landlords in improving the energy efficiency of their buildings and electrifying their homes. New federal rebates for these upgrades will become available through Focus on Energy in Summer 2024 and our aim is to ensure underserved residents can take advantage of this one-time opportunity, as well as the existing Weatherization Assistance Program. Three organizations will be selected for contracts up to $80,000. Dane County requires that all applicants complete the Vendor Application in it's entirety, and sign the Signature Power Form at the end of the Questionnaire. Failure to do so may result in the application to become ineligible for funding and may not be scored. The project is pending the US Department of Energy's final approval and allocation of federal Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant dollars to Dane County.
