The City of Independence is soliciting bids from qualified bidders for the 2026 Emergency Stormwater and Sanitary Repairs project for the Municipal Services Department. The project consists of saw-cutting, removal and disposal of existing pavement, furnishing and placing sub-grade material, pavement cold milling, installation of binder and finish course of bituminous asphaltic concrete, traffic control, ADA curb ramp upgrades, curb & gutter repair, pavement markings, and all appurtenant work. This bid is restricted to contractors who have been awarded Johnson County, Kansas Wastewater Cooperative Agreement EM. Those contractors will need to request be prequalified on Public Purchase.
