Law Enforcement Training for Interacting with People with Physical Disabilities

The City of Tucson is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide physical disabilities training for all sworn police officers in the City of Tucson. This training will be supplemental to the standard training that all Tucson police officers received at the Southern Arizona Law Enforcement Training Center (SALETC). The contractor will have the qualifications and staff resources necessary to develop and deliver a curriculum that will teach our officers the safest and most effective methods to interact with suspects presenting physical disabilities, that may also have a mobility device or other equipment related to their disability.
