Perform the work according to this specification:Summary of Scope of WorkThe contractor shall conduct pre–construction asbestos containing materials and lead–based paint survey and testing on all materials affected by the work.Remove and replace with new 120 existing lead glazed bathtubs.Provide new steel glazed bathtubs that are free of lead and secure them against walls.Upon completion of work, the contractor shall provide certification showing area to be clear of any asbestos containing materials or lead based paint.Properly coordinate generated waste from lead glazed bathtubsA. Any waste generated shall be properly characterized and shall be recycled or be disposed of in accordance with RCRA requirements. Dispose of all waste in accordance with federal/PuertoRico/local laws.B. All wastes to include paint chips, debris and whole bathtubs must be labeled correctly and hazardous waste manifests prepared and signed for any hazardous waste. If not hazardous, ensure disposal goes to an approved landfill.The performance period of the design and construction phase will be a total of two hundred ninety (240) calendar days. The estimated value of this procurement is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
