Vendor needs to provide web archiving services.• The web archive currently contains over 140 publicly available thematic and event–based curated collections made up of more than 3,500 websites or seed URLs, many captured multiple times. 1. Crawl management tool: – For Ad–hoc crawls (see above), the crawl management tool or process should allow to independently curate, configure and run crawls. – The crawl management tool should allow staff to monitor crawls in near–real time, i.e. progress of capture.– The crawl management tool must clearly flag where the crawler failed to capture all or a significant portion of a site (a failed crawl). The crawl management tool will provide a report for each failed crawl.– The tool must allow to add and edit metadata for our existing seed URLs and collections as well as any future seed URLs and collections. 2. Access:– The tenderer must provide a standalone public access portal to the web archive. This includes all previously archived content and its associated metadata and all content archived as part of the services contract. – URL captures API: the tenderer must provide an API which allows querying of all the collections (including historical ARCs and WARCs) by URL (including wildcards), and return sufficient information to a) display the capture history of particular URLs; b) identify the corresponding WARC files for each capture.– Full–text search results API: the tenderer must provide an API for full–text search results, allowing integration of results with third–party websites.3. Preservation: hosting, storage, security:– The tenderer must support in verification efforts by performing periodic fixity checks on all preserved web archive data, and by reporting any fixity violations.– Web archive portal must be made available through the subdomain.
