Rotary Splash Park at the Anderson Snow Sports Complex

Hernando County Parks and Recreation seeks a General Contractor to provide all materials and plans for the construction of the Anderson Snow Splash Park located in Hernando County at the Anderson Snow Sports Complex per the plans and specifications as developed by Coastal Engineering Associates Inc., and Wannemacher/Jensen Architects, Inc, 132 Mirror Lake Drive, Unit 301, St. Petersburg, FL 33701, and their sub-consultants sealed October 28, 2022. The project includes the creation of a Splash Park feature to include a restroom facility and changing cabanas. The installation of this feature will require numerous other upgrades be completed to meet the needs for parking, vehicular access, pedestrian access, and utilities for the amenity upgrades. Below is a summary of the key elements required for implementation: Maintenance Yard Replacement: The demolition of the existing building and yard. Provide a new 3,169 sq. ft. pre-engineered steel building with workshop/vehicle bays, offices, and restroom. Splash Park: The key feature of the park upgrades will be the installation of a 6,000 sq. ft. splash pad, a 4,494 sq. ft. deck with vertical features and an overlaid concrete deck. The splash pad features will be purchase by the County and transferred to the contractor for final installation and connections. The addition of a 1,166 sq. ft. CMU restroom building and three (3) detached changing cabanas. Parking Lot Addition and Sidewalk Connections: This will include additional parking and access to the splash park as well as pedestrian connections to the other existing park elements. Utility Relocations and Connections: The park has a 12-inch water main and 2-inch force main that will require relocation to accommodate the splash park and future growth. All project features will require utilities for water, sewer, electrical, etc.
