The Agency was formed with the mission to protect people, property, and the environment from fire and hazardous materials. As part of that mission, the Agency has the goal of making "Home and First Five Feet" the widely understood public shorthand for wildfire preparedness in Oregon by 2028. The goal of the contract is for most Oregonians to know that actions (like cleaning gutters, removing debris, and hardening their homes) can dramatically reduce wildfire risk.
