Ag. Building Rehab Project

The Napa County Agricultural Commissioner's Office is responsible for the implementation of federal, state, and local regulatory programs within Napa County. Senate Bill 7 requires newly constructed multi-unit residential buildings applying for water service after January 1, 2018, to install water submeters for each individual unit. To support this program, this project will remodel a portion of the Agricultural Warehouse to accommodate installation of a new water meter test bench. The project generally consists of interior demolition of the existing CMU wall partitions at the bathroom and poison room to create a single larger room, demolition of all casework in the kitchen space and replacement of a portion of the existing floor drainage system. The work also includes installation of a new water meter test bench system, a new HVAC unit, a sink with an eye wash station, and replacement of ceiling light fixtures. The facility is located within the County Roads yard which will remain operational throughout construction. Contractors shall coordinate work activities to minimize impacts to surrounding operations, including maintaining access to drive aisles and adjacent buildings. By reference of Addendum 3, the Roads Main Office Flooring replacement has been added to the total base bid of the Ag. Warehouse project. The Roads Main Office Flooring Rehab includes but is not limited to moving all furniture currently located in the Roads office and storing temporarily in the County Sign Shop Building, demolition of existing flooring, application of a liquid applied vapor barrier, installation of selected carpet and luxury tile, installation of floor base, removal and replacement of exterior wall to concrete sealant, repair of a water damaged gyp. board wall, and moving all furniture back into the Roads main office once flooring is completed.
