(1) Vendor needs to provide social security benefits counseling services to the government authority located in Columbia, SC.– Consulting with SS beneficiaries about the program and how receiving these services can impact their SS benefits.– Contacting the SS on behalf of beneficiaries to assist with navigating their SS benefits to prevent overpayments.– Evaluation of the agency’s current benefits counseling policies and procedures and provide a written determination if or what improvements or corrections can be made to them.– Contractor’s attendance at agency meetings as necessary.– Provide the agency assistance to complete necessary paperwork and process(es) for Social Security Administration (SSA) claim reimbursement.– Research past payments the agency received from the from providing benefits counseling services to beneficiaries who attained gainful employment.– Provide knowledge on the program and federal reporting requirements for compliance with federal laws and regulations.– Guide them through the complex interaction between earned income and Social Security benefit eligibility.– Demonstrate how to calculate projected changes in cash benefits, healthcare coverage, and other public assistance programs based on varying wage and employment scenarios for SS beneficiaries.
