2024 Pavement Rehabilitation Project

Description

The project will replace deteriorating asphalt pavement and install new striping that will help reduce any potential conflict between motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians. In addition to paving, the proposed improvements in the project area (Escalona Dr, Highland Ave, and Bay Dr) include the replacement of non-Americans with Disability Act (ADA) compliant curb ramps with compliant curb ramps, installation of an ADA-compliant sidewalk along the southside Escalona corridor, installation of a protected bike and pedestrian path along northbound Bay Drive, protected bike lane along southbound Bay Drive. The striping improvements include but are not limited to, shared lane markings and bike lane buffers where possible.
