Solid Waste Transfer Station - Drive Thru Lane and Wash Rack Reconstruction

Leon County is seeking the services of a qualified Licensed General Contractor to perform repairs to the Leon County Solid Waste Transfer Station, in accordance with the Scope of Work contained within this solicitation, Attachment B - Pricing Sheet-Bid Form, and Attachment C - Technical Specifications. Given the complexities of the work, the contractor shall be required to hold a State Certified General Contractor’s (CGC) license; included in this are applicable State Certified Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing licensing of subcontractors where appropriate, and Certified Underground (CUC) for excavation & demo subs. This project is anticipated to take 32-weeks (7-months) to perform in order to accommodate the required curing of structural concrete, permitting the finishing of joints and preparations for the floor slab sealer to be applied after curing is completed; a 1-month construction close-out is also anticipated by these estimates. Please Note: The building conducts industrial trash-handling operations critical to maintaining the processing of solid wastes.
