City of West Sacramento Building and Fire Services

Statement of Purpose The City of West Sacramento Building Division and Fire Department ("City") are soliciting proposals from qualified firms for services including, but not limited to, the following functions: (i) Front Counter Services (ii) Plan checking * (iii) Construction Inspections * (iv) Coordination with other agencies and departments (v) Issuance of Certificate of Occupancy * Includes enforcement of NFPA Standards, State and Local Regulations. Qualified and experienced staff is required to be available for these services daily or as agreed upon by the City. The City Council has adopted a fee schedule for building permit fees. The City assigns a qualified city employee to administer the agreement with the consultants, manage permit technicians and perform front desk permit technician duties, perform residential and commercial plan reviews, coordinate, and perform inspections and fulfill the duties of a Chief Building Official. The City assigns four employees for permit administrative operations, one employee for plan review and two employees for inspection.
