Hauling and Disposal or Beneficial Reuse of Solids

Description
Proposals are being accepted by West Basin Municipal Water District (West Basin), a Municipal Water District, for Project Title . The purpose of this services agreement is to secure services for hauling and disposal or beneficial reuse of solids from the West Basin's Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility (ECLWRF), located at 1935 S. Hughes Way in El Segundo, California. The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, disposal costs, applicable fees, and the appropriate equipment/processes involved in the hauling, disposal and/or beneficial use of the solids from ECLWRF. The Contractor shall provide truck and trailer combinations that are capable of hauling up to 25 tons of dewatered solids (two cycles of plate and frame press) for all scheduled loads. In 2023, West Basin generated 23,587 wet tons of Class A biosolids with an average Total Percent Solids of 28%. ECLWRF is in operation seven days a week, 24-hours a day. Under regular working conditions, West Basin anticipates three to four truck loads per day. All hauling, disposal and reuse of solids must comply with the Federal 40 CFR Part 503 as well as ECLWRF’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit (Order No. R4-2023-0368, NPDES No. CA0063401).
