REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS - LEAD HAZARD CONTROL and HEALTHY HOMES GRANT

The City of Bridgeport Department of Health and Social Service is requesting proposal responses from qualified State of Connecticut Licensed Lead Abatement Contractors for the Bridgeport Lead Hazard Control Program (BLHC). As the recipient of the program from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes (OLHCHH), the City of Bridgeport proposes to remediate 160 residential housing units of lead over a four-year period with Healthy Homes interventions. The units will be scattered throughout Bridgeport. They will be occupied by families with children identified to have elevated blood lead levels; families with children under six; and/or vacant units to be rented to families with children under the age of six.
