(1) Vendor needs to provide borough attorney services to the government authority located in Kenilworth, NJ. 1. Serve as general legal counsel to the Mayor and Council and provide advice on municipal law and Borough operations.2. Prepare and review ordinances, resolutions, contracts, specifications, bidding and procurement documents, real–estate instruments, and other legal documents.3. Handle or coordinate litigation, tort claims, tax appeals, land–use matters, redevelopment matters, easements, condemnation matters, labor and personnel issues, and other legal matters as assigned.4. Provide advice concerning public contracting, labor and employment, land use, redevelopment, and other laws applicable to New Jersey municipalities.5. Attend regular and special meetings and other meetings as directed.– Cost considerations, including proposed hourly rates, retainer or flat–fee arrangements, historical costs for similar professional services, expertise involved, and comparable costs for comparable public entities.
