Production of 4th of July Fireworks Display

The City of San Marino is accepting proposals from qualified contractors having professional experience in providing fireworks displays. The selected vendor will be responsible for providing the City with a twenty (20) minute fireworks display for the 2026, 2027, and 2028 4 th of July Independence Day Celebration events. The event occurs on July 4 of each year. The City is looking for a twenty (20) minute firework display that is in compliance with the National Fire Protection Association, Requirements for Display Fireworks Aerial Shells and Equipment, Standard 1123, 2022 Edition and coordinated to patriotic themed music. The show shall consist of three (3) phases: Opening Fanfare, Main Body, and Grand Finale. The event location is Lacy Park (1485 Virginia Road, San Marino, CA 91108). The show starts at 9:00 PM and the vendor must complete set up no later than dusk on the day of the show. At the last three 4 th of July Celebrations, an average of 9,000 attendees showed up to the Park, with observers from the surrounding area watching as well. The successful vendor shall provide a fireworks display and a CAL FIRE Office of the State Fire Marshal licensed Pyrotechnical Operator. In addition, the vendor will be in charge of set up and tear down of the rockets, pre-recorded patriotic themed music that is coordinated to the pyrotechnics show, and post-show clean-up of debris. Prospective vendors are encouraged to inspect the area, so they fully understand the logistics of transporting the fireworks and the limitations of the launch site itself. Upon award of bid, the contractor shall provide a detailed plan including the designated fall out area.
