WELL DRILLING OVERSIGHT AND HYDROGEOLOGIC INVESTIGATION

The anticipated budget for year one of the contract is $500,000.00; however, the City makes no guarantee as to the amount of work the firm will actually receive. Tucson Water plans to install up to 12 wells per year to increase capacity in selected areas. Firms awarded this contract will oversee the drilling operations to insure each well meets Tucson Water standards and specifications. Groundwater production wells installed for the City of Tucson generally range in depth from five hundred (500) to twelve hundred (1200) feet below land surface but specific depths will depend on the site. Wells typically take approximately 8-12 weeks to complete. Tucson Water will define work assignments under a project specific request for bid. In accordance with the Contract Terms and Conditions, the successful firm will not commence work until receipt of a Notice to Proceed for each project assignment.
