Fred George Park Wetland Restoration Project

Leon County is seeking the services of a qualified vendor to perform a grading and drainage improvements at the Northeast corner of Fred George Greenway Park in accordance with the Technical Specifications, the "Bid Set" Contract Plans (Attachment #1), and the Supplemental Specifications (Attachment #2) contained within this solicitation. The proposed project for Fred George Park Wetland Restoration Project is located within Section 8, Township 1 North, Range 1 West, in Leon County, Florida. This project is anticipated to be completed in 120 calendar days. The complete construction documents include a series of attachments which are listed in the technical specifications of the contract documents. The scope of work to be performed under this unit price bid shall include regrading and removal of historically man-made berms in the northeast portion of the property and all associated improvements as shown on the Construction Plans (Attachment #1) in the bid documents. The purpose of the project is to reestablish free flow conditions, reduce any backwater flooding in the area surrounding the project site. and reestablish the natural floodplain conditions that previously existed on the site. Prime Contractor shall possess current and valid FDOT pre-qualifications in the Drainage and Grading work classes. The pre-qualifications shall be current and valid at the time of the bid submittal. Any Prime Contractor who submits a bid with the intent to use a Sub-Contractor who possesses the work class pre-qualifications MUST identify the Sub-Contractor and submit the Sub-Contractors current and valid FDOT pre-qualifications in the Drainage and Grading work classes by the Proposal Submission Deadline to be considered responsive to this bid solicitation. A Mandatory, On-Site Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 10:00am at the project site located at 3043 Capital Circle NW, Tallahassee, FL 32309. Attendance at the pre-bid is mandatory to be eligible for bid award.
