Vendor needs to provide crisis intervention program service to the government authority located in Anchorage, AK. – The focus of this funding is on crisis intervention rather than responding to violence.– The state’s administering agency, recognizes the correlation between people in crisis, mental health, substance misuse, and incidents of violent crime and has identified five program priorities.• Enhance access to mental health services for individuals in crisis. • Promote safe storage and gun lock initiatives.• Support culturally relevant violence, substance misuse, and suicide– intervention programs. • Leverage existing technology or implement new technology to overcome geographical barriers to crisis intervention. • Provide law enforcement officers and other first responders with deescalation or crisis intervention training.
