Vendor needs to provide professional managed IT services to the government authority located in Lochbuie, CO.1. Infrastructure refresh and consolidation:– Migrate the virtualization platform from VMware to Microsoft Hyper–V, including all active virtual machines.– Audit and decommission servers no longer required for active services, with documented rationale for each decision.2. Network infrastructure transition and security standards:– The replacement firewall must be a fully capable next–generation firewall, including: deep packet inspection of encrypted and unencrypted traffic; an integrated intrusion detection and prevention system and automated threat intelligence feeds that update blocking rules in real time to address emerging vulnerabilities.– Replacement switches and routers must support granular VLAN segmentation sufficient to strictly isolate the following network zones at minimum: police department systems subject to FBI security policy requirements; administrative and finance systems; public–facing or guest wireless; and voice/VoIP traffic.3. Backup, recovery and data retention:– Deploy a dedicated Dell APEX (or equivalent warrantied hardware) backup appliance with integrated cloud disaster recovery capability.– Deploy a dedicated third–party backup solution for Microsoft 365 data covering exchange online email, teams data, SharePoint online, and Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) directory objects. The backup must be independent of Microsoft’s native retention policies.4. Cybersecurity services:– Microsoft 365 threat monitoring: Continuous monitoring with automated remediation of critical identity and account compromise events; enforcement of Microsoft security baseline configurations.– Web content filtering: DNS–layer and gateway filtering, blocking known malicious domains and configurable content categories; reporting available to town administration.5. Helpdesk and ongoing support:– Provide remote helpdesk support during town business hours (minimum Monday– Friday, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM Mountain Time) with defined response SLAs by severity tier.
