West Roberts Road Roadway and Drainage Improvements - Design

The intent of this project is to provide improved drainage which will reduce flooding in surrounding neighborhoods, and safety improvements to the roadway. The Engineering Division of Escambia County requests development of signed and sealed construction plans for the widening and drainage improvements along West Roberts Road in District 5 approximately 1.75 Miles. The project limits will be from Hwy 29 interchange, West to the Southernly turn at Sutton Place. The intent is to widen the roadway from Pine Forest Road to Hwy 29 to 2- 12ft travel lanes with 5 ft shoulders. The roadway from the Southern turn to Pine Forest should be resurfaced and striped. This portion of the roadway to be evaluated for possible shoulders. The drainage system will be realigned to accommodate the wider roadway and upgraded to current standards within the current right-of-way.
