Falconry Based Bird Abatement (FBBA) Services

It is the intent of the City to award a contract to the most qualified and proven offeror for Falconry Based Bird Abatement (FBBA) Services. The City is seeking an offeror who will be able to provide these services along the 2.45 mile long boardwalk, the 8 miles of oceanfront beaches and within the downtown and business districts. The City of Ocean City has been contracting this service out since 2019 when an emergent condition was declared by an unprecedented amount of seagull attacks. The scope of the contract has continued to expand since its first award in 2019 and includes boardwalk, beachfront and citywide abatement services. Due to the complexity of this contract, it will be advertised and bid using the competitive contracting process using price and other factors outlined by N.J.S.A. 40A:11 §§ (4.3)-(4.5).
