Description

This project will renourish the shoreline in Palm Beach County, between Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Range Monuments R-92.1 and R-102. The project includes construction of a beach berm. The sand for the project will be sourced from a combination of borrow sources in the area, Palm Beach Harbor Entrance Channel and Settling Basins, Northern Borrow Area 1, and Northern Borrow Area 2. Palm Beach Harbor Entrance Channel and Settling Basins and Northern Borrow Area 2 are approximately 4 nautical miles from the midpoint of the project fill area. Northern Borrow Area 1 is approximately 5 nautical miles from the midpoint of the project fill area. Work also includes but is not limited to environmental species monitoring, turbidity monitoring, beach tilling, beach fill quality control, screening, and vibration control and monitoring. A complete copy of amenment 0001 was uploaded to SAM.gov. Please make sure you download amendment 0001 from this site because includes all necessary changes to specifications and plans. The version currently posted in PIEE is missing some of the changes to the specifications and the drawings.
