Description

STATEMENT OF WORK For Procurement of Captus 4000e Thyroid Uptake System For VA Maine Healthcare System (Togus) 1. Background The VA Maine Healthcare System (Togus) requires a comprehensive Nuclear Medicine Measurement System for thyroid uptake measurements, bioassays, wipe tests, quality control testing, and other related functions in the Nuclear Medicine department. 2. Objectives The primary objectives of this procurement are: 2.1 To acquire the Captus 4000e Thyroid Uptake System made by Mirion/Capintec with integrated DICOM interface, custom protocol capabilities, automated QA testing, and ergonomic mobile stand. 2.2 To enable accurate thyroid uptake measurements, wipe tests, and quality control processes for radiopharmaceuticals used in diagnostic imaging procedures. 2.3 To interface the system directly with the hospital information systems for transfer of patient data, test results and QC records. 3. Description of Requirements 3.1 The contractor shall provide one (1) Captus 4000e Thyroid Uptake System (Part # 5430-30152) including: - 20" all-in-one color touchscreen computer - Articulating arm with wide range of motion - Medical grade counter top and storage shelf - 1" lead shielded well detector - Integrated DICOM interface software - Custom protocol software - Ergonomic mobile stand - All required hardware, accessories and manuals 3.2 The system shall have a fully integrated DICOM interface (Part # 5430-00007) to communicate and transfer data with the VA's hospital information systems. 3.3 One (1) Neck Phantom (Part # 5230-0038) for thyroid uptake measurements shall be provided. 3.4 The contractor shall provide on-site training to medical staff on proper operation and use of the system. 4. Deliverables and Schedule 4.1 All equipment and components specified in Section 3 shall be delivered within 90 days after award. 4.2 On-site training shall be completed within 2 weeks after installation. 5. Other Requirements 5.1 All equipment shall be new and not refurbished, remanufactured or discontinued models. 5.2 The contractor shall provide a minimum 1 year warranty on the entire system. 5.3 The contractor shall provide technical support and availability of spare parts/consumables for at least 7 years after delivery. 6. Qualifications The contractor shall have experience in supplying, installing and providing training for similar thyroid uptake/nuclear medicine systems to VA hospitals or other major healthcare facilities.
