Description

The James A. Haley Veterans Hospital (JAHVH), Sleep Study Clinic within the Pulmonary Department of Medicine and Specialty Care Service, is seeking to identify responsible sources capable of providing transcutaneous CO monitoring systems that meet the Government s minimum operational and technical requirements for full night diagnostic sleep studies. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and determine the availability of domestic products that can satisfy the salient characteristics described herein. This information will be used to inform the Government s acquisition strategy, which may include a brand name or limited source justification if no equal products are identified. The Government s Sleep Lab currently conducts complex sleep studies requiring precise, stable, and continuous CO monitoring to accurately assess ventilatory status during sleep. Clinical accuracy and compatibility with existing systems specifically the Nox Medical A1 and C1 Polysomnographic Systems are essential to ensure seamless integration, reliable data transfer, and uninterrupted patient monitoring throughout overnight studies. This Sources Sought seeks information from vendors who can provide a transcutaneous CO monitoring system that meets all minimum salient characteristics, including but not limited to: safe and extended duration skin compatible sensors, stabilized CO reporting, mobility supporting technology without recalibration, sleep specific visual and alarm configurations, and compatibility with the current polysomnography environment. The Government will give preference to domestic products that meet these salient features and are fully compatible with existing clinical equipment. Responses must demonstrate the ability of the offered system to meet or exceed these minimum requirements. This notice is not a request for quotation and does not commit the Government to an award. The information provided by interested parties will help determine whether a competitive procurement is appropriate or whether a brand name acquisition is warranted based on compatibility and clinical requirements.
